Dynacept
Company, Inc. (DCI) was founded in 1973 and was located in Bedford
Hills, New York. The company began as a quick turn-around conventional
Model Maker. In 1988, the business was taken over by Michael and
Mark Primavera, sons of the original owner. Exclusive focus was
placed on striving to satisfy the needs of their customers which
was successfully done by investing in the best technologies and
continuing the outstanding customer service for which we are known.
DCI recognized the need to expand current operations to meet increased
sales volumes and to develop new services. For that reason, in 1998,
we chose to merge with Triple S Plastics (TSP) create a vertically
integrated supplier of plastic parts. DCI then became Dynacept Corporation
(DC). To complete this vertical integration, a bridge was needed
to bring DC, a prototyper, together with TSP, a custom injection
molder. This bridge was the development of a state of the art prototype
tooling department at Dynacept.
In September of 2000, DC relocated to a 30,000 square foot facility
in Brewster, New York. This facility houses the largest SLA service
bureau on the east coast, a very substantial rubber molding and
urethane casting department and an unsurpassed rapid tooling and
molding department.
In August of 2001, TSP was purchased by Eimo Group making Dynacept
the front end of a global supplier of plastic parts. Eimo Group
has manufacturing facilities in Michigan, Texas, Brazil, Finland,
Hungary and China.
In October of 2003, the Eimo Group was purchased by Foxconn putting
Dynacept on the front end of the premiere contract manufacturer
in the world. The combined company has profitable sales revenues
exceeding 10 billion dollars generated over 4 continents.
In October of 2006, Mark and Mike Primavera re-purchased Dynacept
through an MBO with the definitive goal of realigning it with a
properly vertically integrated molding business located within the
US. This goal was quickly met in December of 2007 when Dynacept
was merged into Spectrum Plastics Group (SPG). SPG has molding facilities
in Minneapolis, MN (where it is headquartered), Gardena, CA and
Ansonia, CT. All current molding facilities are primarily focused
in the medical and defense industries.
Dynacept
is now in its 35th year of operation with 17 consecutive years of
revenue growth. Our customers continue to be served by superior
personnel and the best technologies available in the industry.
